Discover New Music…

Created by the team behind the critically acclaimed Ventnor Fringe, Ventnor International Festival (VIF) is the Isle of Wight’s unique take on the metropolitan/city based music festival. Featuring a carefully curated line up of the most exciting emerging artists from across the UK and beyond, it’s a place to discover the next big thing.

In An Incredible Place

A single ticket provides access to a whole range of interesting venues, from warehouses to churches, spanning across the Island’s southern most town. Once the home to a bohemian Victorian arts scene these days it’s fast emerging as the Isle of Wight’s new gastronomic and creative hub.

Plus with VIF held to coincide with the Ventnor Fringe (which runs for the whole week!) it’s the best time of the year to discover the Island’s blossoming arts scene.

England's largest island is closer then you think...

The Isle of Wight is located off the south coast of England and is well serviced with regular ferry connections to the mainland. There are services that run every 30 to 60 minutes during the day.

Once on the Island travelling either by car or public transport is easy, taking around 45 minutes to get to Ventnor located on the southern point of the Island. Find full travel information here.

Wake up to a sea view...

We’ve teamed up with Festicket to offer packages which include both your ticket to VIF and 1-3 nights in one of our favourite hotels in the town. Check them out here.

Alternatively, there are lots of houses available on AirBnb and LoveVentnor as well as a comprehensive list from The Isle of Wight tourist board Visit Isle of Wight.

If you prefer to camp there are sites a short drive away at Chine Farm, Appuldurcombe GardensNinham Country Park and Isle of Wight Guru have great guide to caravan holiday parks on the Island.

What times does the Festival open/close?

The Ventnor Exchange is open for Wristband exchange from 9am. Venues are open from midday with live music right through the afternoon and evening. The last venues close at 02:00hrs.

What venues are being used?

We’ll be announcing all of the venues and spaces nearer the event. There will be three main stages/venues with a variety of other smaller spaces. All are within a 15 mins walk of each other.

I'm under 18, can I come?

VIF is a 14+ event. Young people aged between 14 and 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Can I bring my own food/drink?

VIF takes place in venues throughout Ventnor. Each venue will have its own policy but in general bringing you own food and drink into a space is not permitted. However there are lots of great public spaces throughout the town.

Can I buy a ticket to just see one band/access one venue?

We’re afraid not. There is only one type of ticket which provides access to all venues and all acts. However, at £30 its a bargain so don’t miss out!

Can I get into Ventnor Fringe venues with my wristband?

The Ventnor Fringe will be running at the same time as VIF (It runs from the 8th -13th August) The Fringe’s main outdoor venues and bars, The Observatory on Ventnor Harbour and Parkside both have free entry during the daytimes so no ticket or wristband is needed.

VIF wristbands will not provide entry to other Fringe venues, like the various theatre or cinema venues, individual tickets for events will need to be purchased. This can be done over on the Fringe website.

Can I play at the Festival?

We will be announcing opportunities for Island based bands to perform at VIF shortly. Unfortunately we’re not able to consider requests from other artists this year but we hope to provide more opportunities for unsigned artists to apply in future editions. Artists from anywhere in the world are able to apply to take part in the Ventnor Fringe which runs at the same time.
