Ventnor Exchange aims to foster and develop a unique creative community and economy on the Isle of Wight.
As an independent producing organisation we work with creative’s across many disciplines; developing new work, events and products. In 2014 we opened our home at 11 Church Street, Ventnor in the town’s former Post Office.
Now housing a studio theatre, record store and bar it’s the best place on the Island to catch new creative work of all disciplines, as well as the perfect place to browse vinyl, meet friends and relax with like minded people.
Every August we are also responsible for the annual Ventnor Fringe Festival, the Isle of Wight’s unique take on the famous Edinburgh Fringe

Ventnor Fringe
Created in 2010 the festival follows the core principles of the famous Edinburgh Fringe that inspired it, in which any artist can take part. Since then, the Ventnor Fringe has gradually grown into one of the Island’s most exciting new festivals, attracting more than 300 performers in 2015 from all over the world.
Take the pilgrimage and enjoy a midnight ‘lock in‘ at the Library, ‘pop up’ cinemas, basement bars, pianos in the streets, gigs in locals’ houses, mystery tours, woodland sing-alongs and intimate church shows in and around the eclectic hillside town of Ventnor.
Ventnor International Festival
VIF is the Isle of Wight’s unique take on the metropolitan/city based music festival. Featuring a carefully curated line up of the most exciting emerging artists from across the UK and beyond, it’s a place to discover the next big thing. A single ticket provides access to a whole range of interesting venues, from warehouses to churches, spanning rock, garage, electronic, hip hop and jazz.
Held to coincide with the Ventnor Fringe it’s the best time of the year to discover the Island’s blossoming cultural scene.

Exchange Young Creatives give young people the opportunity to work with industry professionals and artists to develop their skills and learn new ones by taking part in specially tailored workshops and masterclasses.
Our shows
At the Exchange we create innovative and exciting new theatre, from magical children's theatre to hilarious puppet comedies.
Each year we commission a range of new work, with previous productions including original work for children, immersive theatre experiences, puppet shows for adults and supporting some of the most exciting emerging wordsmiths.
